ARTIST STATMENT (2025)
My portrait work focuses on a collection of objects, ranging from toys and tools to everyday items and even "junk". These objects are used as the subject or subjects, Creating portraits of myself, others, and of moments in my life. Some are physical, and some are objects I pull from games, media, and spaces online that fit each narrative. By using these universally recognizable subjects others are able to easily connect with the memory/moment/or person i am presenting. With each installation in this ongoing series of work, I explore different layouts and styles of painting allowing me to experiment with how these objects interact and communicate within each unique composition.

i am a MIAD alumni (class of 2023)
i love collecting toys, plush, and trinkets, this is very relevant in my arts practice as many of my pieces feature them. i also have a large collection of phyisical media that i make work about as well. my entire childhood revolved around my familys collection of dvds and cds, all of which are safley kept in 2 zipped binders that have moved with me and my family for over 30 years. my personal collection of discs are growing steadily! i work primarily in Milwaukee WI but have vended in events in Chicago IL

I primarily work with acrylic paint on wood panel and canvas, but am fluent working with gouache, watercolor, sculpting and throwing clay, mold making, printmaking with linolium and screens, and zine making
